The second annual WeCNLP (West Coast NLP) Summit is an opportunity to foster discussions and collaborations between NLP researchers in academia and industry. The event will include talks and a panel from research leaders on the latest advances in NLP technologies. The day will conclude with a poster session. The event will take place at Facebook, Menlo Park, on September 6th.

The invited talks will relate to the following topics:

* multimodal NLP.
* dialog and conversational AI.
* low resource scenarios in NLP.

The panel participants will discuss AI for social good, bias and ethics.

---- Travel Grant ----

We are offering a small number of travel grants to eligible and selected individuals. Applications for the travel grant are now available here: https://facebook-research.smapply.io/prog/wecnlp_travel_grant_application/
Each grant is intended to partially cover travel expenses (airfare, ground transportation, and/or hotel). Meals are not eligible. Full-time students in a undergraduate or graduate program are eligible.
