Job for a Russian translator with machine translation experience (on site,
San Jose)

Primary Responsibilities:
? Encode Russian terminology into Machine Translation (MT)system
dictionaries. Analyze MT output for quality improvement.
? Encode foreign language terminology according to specific conventions
? Keep track of dictionary improvements, analyze and correct dictionary
errors
? Test and document the results of output of trained MT engines
? Assist in a variety of linguistic research related tasks
? Review human post edited output to generate high quality of training
corpus for MT engines
? Help to conduct MT usability test with Russian users and summarize the
feedback and test results
? Create guidelines and documentation on best practices for contractors and
vendors, as well as training Russian post-editors

Education and/or Relevant Experience:

? BA or MA in Linguistics
? 2/3 years of localization experience
? Familiarity with the Machine Translation industry and best practices for
post-editing/reviewing
? Strong familiarity with translation technologies and localization
processes
? Ability to work in a multicultural environment
? Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other
departments and varying levels of management


Language requirements:

Native fluency in Russian and a deep understanding of the Russian culture
is preferred
