just to be sure (I am assuming the answer is 'no'):
1) Can Moses somehow insert or delete target words in any other way than
it would follow from unaligned source or target words in a phrase pair?
2) Also, is weight-i of any use for plain phrase-based translation other
than in a lattice setting?

Ah, this is the weight for input scores on lattice edges, OK.
"weight(s) for word insertion" sounded as if this were something more
interesting.

we've recently created a new phrase-table type
*PhraseDictionaryTransliteration*
which create target phrases based on transliterated words. ie. the target
phrases haven't been learnt from a corpus
If you want to change a target phrase after it has been loaded (eg.
paraphase it, adding morphological information...) there might be a way to
do that too

The Product Manager will be responsible for the TAUS Data & Automation

forum around machine translation and translation technology. The TAUS Data
platform is a repository of industry-shared translation data (currently)
containing 55 billion words in 2,200 language pairs.
TAUS goals are to establish the Automation and Data platform as

of translation) in the global translation industry. The TAUS Product
Manager is instrumental in growing the user base. Targets will be set for
the number of new users and new members registering for the Automation and
