Dear all,
We have just opened the registration for MT Marathon 2015 in Prague, September 7-12.
Participation is free of charge, 100 places available.
September is still high season in Prague, so remember to search for accommodation early.
We offer a limited number of rooms in two types of accommodation near the venue.
* Student dormitories Komensk?ho.
** BOOK THIS VERY WEEK **
* Slightly nicer dormitories Hamu.
Bookable till August 10 (subject to availability).
More details in the registration form.
http://www.statmt.org/mtm15/registration
(Should you face any problems with the registration form, please contact both Ondrej Bojar and Jan Ptacek (Cc).)
The programme will be put together during July, but as always, it depends primarily on you:
- The tool papers you submit.
http://ufal.mff.cuni.cz/mtm15/call.html
- The projects you propose or join.
http://ufal.mff.cuni.cz/mtm15/projects.html
Looking forward to seeing you in Prague.

Hello everyone
I want to use mgiza for training. What is your recommendation for number of cores and CPUs, for good performance and quality in train-model command? Is 24 suitable for both? what is your recommendation for other options (such as -parallel,...)?
train-model.perl -mgiza -mgiza-cpus ?? -cores ?? ...
System:
Number of cores: 24
RAM: 40GB
OS: Ubuntu 12.04
Thanks

Hi,
if you have 24 cores, then
-mgiza -mgiza-cpus 12 -cores 24 -parallel
sounds plausible to me.
The "parallel" will parallelize the 2 mgiza runs, so you should use 12
CPUs for each.
The 24 cores setting is relevant for phrase table building.
